Days suggested: 3-5.  Flight from Buenos Aires: 2 h.10.  Best season: March to December.

Day 1: City tour in Salta admiring its colonial past, reflected in its ancient traditions and architecture. One of the few cities in the country with a clear Spanish heritage.

Optional: Horseback riding on the mountains.

Day 2: Jujuy, the neighbour province. Allow yourself to be taken to the eloquent quietness of the Quebrada de Humahuaca ( Humahuaca depression) and visit little towns on the mountains where time seems to have stopped a long time ago. The rain forest will be a contrasting landscape with what we will have admired before.

Day 3:  Safari to the Clouds. We will combine the most important circuits in the Northwest in one day: the “Road to the Clouds” following the famous railway track of the “Train to the Clouds” up to San Antonio de los Cobres; the circuit going through the Puna up to Salinas Grandes (Salt Lakes) and the downhill trip to the picturesque village of Purmamarca.

Day 4: Wine day. Cafayate and Quebrada de las Conchas: Impressive combination of mountains range with breathtaking shapes and colours and aggressive blue skies.
